Form 1099-K Florida State Mandate


Florida FIRE State Mandate Florida requires every payment settlement entity, their electronic payment facilitators, or contracted third parties to file an annual 1099-K (Merchant Card and Third-Party Payments Information Report) with the Department of Revenue. All returns must be filed electronically using the Florida Department of Revenue website. Florida is not a member of the Combined Federal/State Filing program.

Deadline
Payment settlement entities, or their electronic payment facilitators or contracted third parties, must file the 1099-K with the Department if they are required to file the return to the IRS pursuant to section 6050W of the Internal Revenue Code. The 1099-K is due to the Department 30 days after the federal return is filed.

Specifications
You submit the same file that you would submit to the IRS following Publication 1220 to the state of Florida.
