New Form Changes for 1095-C

• New codes: IL - IS (These codes are used for employers that offer Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).)
• New section 17 for zip codes if using codes 1L - 1A for offer of coverage.
• Age of employee as of January 1. Our software can accept date of birth.

Print, Mail and E-File Clients: DEADLINE DATES

• February 19 Data Upload Due to 1099FIRE
• February 23 Data Approval Due to 1099FIRE
• March 2 IRS Deadline to Mail to Recipients
• March 31 E-Filing IRS Deadline

These are strict deadlines. Failure to comply may result in late filing. 1099FIRE will still process files uploaded or approved after above dates but can not guarantee the IRS deadline will be met. E-Filing will be completed immediately after the print and mail has been executed to allow time to retrieve results from the IRS and to complete a full audit.

E-File Only Clients: DEADLINE DATES

• March 5 Data Upload Due to 1099FIRE
• March 9 Data Approval Due to 1099FIRE
• March 31 E-Filing IRS Deadline

New State Filing Requirements
California, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Rhode Island and Vermont have enacted their own individual mandates requires taxpayers to provide proof of health coverage to avoid financial penalties.
