Preparing Correction Spreadsheet...


Isolate just the records that need to be corrected. Put together an excel file with just the records that are to be corrected.
Add 6 extra columns to the end of each receord. These six columns are

First Name
Middle Name
Last Name
Suffix
SSN
Corrected Unique Record ID

These 6 extra columns let the IRS find the record you want to correct. The new data to the left of these 6 extra columns is used to update the data in the IRS System.
