Completing 1094-C...
Correcting a 1094-C form is a separate filing. You put together a file with just the 1094-C data and
no 1095-C data and make sure that you select that this is an Authoritative Transmittal. If a 1094-C
correction is submitted with Authoritative Transmittal not selected, then you will get errors that look
like below:
1094C-029 - If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is not checked, then 'TotalForm1095CALEMemberCnt' must not have a value.
1094C-034 - If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is not checked, then checkbox 'QualifyingOfferMethodInd' must not be checked.
1094C-047 - If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is not checked, then 'ALEMemberFTECnt' must not have a value.
1094C-049 - If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is not checked, then 'TotalEmployeeCnt' must be zero or not have a value.
1094C-053 - If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is not checked, then none of the checkboxes 'AggregatedGroupInd' must be checked.
1094C-065 - If Form 1094C checkbox 'AuthoritativeTransmittalInd' is not checked, then 'EIN' in 'OtherALEMembersGrp' must not have a value.
When filing a 1095-C correction, the IRS requires you file a 1094-C as well that is NOT THE AUTHORITATIVE TRANSMITTAL.
Complete the 1094-C tab on the Corrections spreadsheet with the Original Information you transmitted. The rest of the fields
on the 1094-C for a 1095-C correction remain empty.
Only complete up to Question 19. Enter only the number of forms you are submitting with this correction on line 18, and this is NOT the
authoritative transmittal. (Box 19 = “NO”)
